Hoage played in the National Football League for 13 seasons. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Genetics, a 3.85 GPA, and selection twice as an All-American defensive back. Vince Dooley, the legendary football coach for the University of Georgia, called Hoage, “The best defensive player I’ve ever coached and maybe the best one I’ve ever seen.”
